How To Find and Pray at Onitake Shrine in Assassin’s Creed Shadows?

In Assassin’s Creed Shadows, shrines have no restrictions and can be explored without encountering formidable enemies. Whether you set out to explore the lands of Tamba Province or simply find yourself in its vicinity, Onitake Shrine is a location worth visiting. Additionally, finding shrines and praying at them reward you with Knowledge Points and experience, allowing you to progress the Mastery Trees for Naoe and Yasuke.

Onitake Shrine Locations in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Located in northwest Tamba, Onitake Shrine sits atop Mount Akaiwa, northwest of Fukuchiyama. It is situated north of Chasuriyama and southeast of Miyazu Bay. To reach it, you can fast-travel to Fukuchiyama and travel along the road heading northwest out of town on horseback. As the path climbs Mount Akaiwa, you will see Onitake Shrine’s structures on the left and a small dirt track leading to it.

If you continue further on the road without turning, you can climb to the summit of Mount Akaiwa and unlock a Viewpoint with a stunning panorama.

Onitake Shrine Prayer Site One

The Onitake Shrine’s entrance will be visible past two lampposts flanking the cobblestone stairs leading up to it. Past the gate with two canine statues on either side, you will see a passageway leading to a gold-trimmed door. Head through the passage and stop just short of the stairs leading to the door. Press the interact button (E on PC) to pray. The prayer animation will play; wait for it to conclude before finding the next shrine location.

The second prayer site at Onitake Shrine is on the right side of the entrance. Head back out of the passageway from the first prayer site and turn left. Head down the cobblestone steps with a mossy stone lamp on the right. The narrow path will lead to a small wooden shrine. Pray at the shrine, and you have completed the Onitake Shrine location.

Onitake Shrine Rewards in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Paying respect at both prayer sites of the Onitake Shrine rewards you with 500 XP and a single Knowledge Point. This is the same as the reward for exploring and praying at any other shrine in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
