How to Get Armour of Devotion in Baldur’s Gate 3
The Armour of Devotion can be purchased from Roah Moonglow in Moonrise Towers for 11,400 gold (Honour Mode difficulty). The price may vary depending on your difficulty. In Baldur’s Gate 3, Act 2, head to southwest. As you reach a central abandoned plaza, Moonrise Towers are directly south from there. Inside, you’ll discover three merchants, and one of them, Roah Moonglow, is situated on the right side of the main entrance, on the first level.
If you plan to acquire this item and inspect all the vendors’ offerings within, it’s wise not to engage the cultists immediately. Instead, initially approach them in a friendly manner. Once you’ve completed your shopping and determined that there’s nothing else of interest, you can take hostile action against the cultists or follow your character’s story.
How to Use Armour of Devotion
The main benefit of the Armour of Devotion is the Eternal Devotion special feature. This only applies to Paladins, giving you another use of Channel Oath Charge. Channel Oath is your main class resource, designed to give you subclass-specific abilities and functions. Oathbreaker has Dreadful Aspect action which causes Frighten in a massive area. This is useful for immobilizing enemies and locking them into place. Moreover, Oath of the Devotion has a useful buff Sacred Weapon which adds Charisma Modifier to attack rolls.
Another advantage of this armour is the high 18 AC. This is comparable to the Adamantine Splint Mail (heavy armour) crafted in Grymforge during Act 1. This item set can be a useful replacement for Paladins who either missed this armour or crafted another set in the Adamantine Forge. Additionally, with 18 AC, you could use this sheerly for the high Armour Class on any heavy armour proficiency class but stick to Paladin if possible.
