In Baldur’s Gate 3, Gloves of Belligerent Skies are a clothing item, and you can get them from the Inquisitor’s chambers in Creche Y’llek – this short Guide Explains everything you need to know about Gloves of Belligerent Skies in BG3.
Gloves of Belligerent Skies
In Baldur’s Gate 3, Gloves of Belligerent Skies in Baldur’s Gate 3 are a clothing hand gear that provides an effect tied to dealing specific types of damage. When the wearer deals damage in the form of Thunder, Lightning, or Radiant damage, they can inflict 2 turns of “Reverberation” on enemies.
Reverberation is a status effect in Baldur’s Gate 3. When a creature is afflicted, it experiences several negative effects, which can impact its performance in combat. It suffers a penalty to its Strength, Dexterity, and Constitution Saving Throws. It incurs as a -1 penalty for each remaining turn that Reverberation is active. As a result, the affected creature’s ability to resist specific effects or damage is lower.
Also, if the enemy accumulates 4 or more turns of Reverberation, it sustains an additional 1 to 4 points of Thunder damage and can be knocked Prone, affecting their mobility and actions in combat. Afterward, the Reverberation condition is removed, ending these detrimental effects.
This item is a good choice for any class that deals elemental damage, such as Wizards, Sorcerers, Clerics, or Monks. You can equip it to your character’s gloves slot in the inventory, providing additional bonuses and buffs. There are no requirements for this item.

How to Get the Gloves of Belligerent Skies in Baldur’s Gate 3
You can find the Gloves of Belligerent Skies in Glided chest inside Inquisitor’s Chambers, Creche Y’llek in Mountain Pass while transitioning from Act 1 to Act 2. Here is how to get the Gloves of Belligerent Skies in BG3:
- Progress in Act 1
- Head to the northwest corner of the Act 1 area and head to a different area called Mountain Pass. (X:-127 Y:561)
- Find the Creche Y’llek on the far north end of the map.
- Explore the Monastery and Enter the Creche
- Depending on your choices, Githyanki will be hostile to you or “temporarily” friendly.
- Head to the commander’s office and convince them you have a business with the Inquisitor to gain access inside.
- The Gloves of Belligerent Skies ate in a chest on the right side of the room, just next to the entrance to Inquisitor chambers in Creche Y’llek (X: 1344 Y: -674).
Find the Githyannki and Creche Y’llek
You can find the Gloves of Belligerent Skies in the Githyanki Creche. The entrance to the creche is from the Monastery, where it’s worth exploring the area and solving ceremonial weapon puzzles to get the Blood of Lathander, a mighty legendary mace.
When you’re ready to enter Creche Y’llek, you can jump down from the damaged stairs on the east side of the Monastery (X: 109; Y: 22). Below, you’ll find another set of stairs leading to the Creche, a place filled with NPCs, valuable loot, merchants, and potential side quests. If your goal is to obtain the legendary mace, and the gloves, your next step is to proceed to the Inquisitor Chambers, which is also part of the Lae’zel and Remove Toadpole questlines.
Note: To obtain the Gloves, you can simply kill everyone in Creche, follow the friendly path, and kill Githyanki later. Still, it’s a good idea to first talk to everyone and check out merchants’ wares before you decide your next steps and confront the Githyanki.
Access Inquisitor’s Chambers
However, you’ll need to deactivate an energy field in the commander’s office before you can access the Inquisitor’s chambers. You have a few options, including attempting to steal the red gem from the Githyanki commander and discreetly inserting it into the device. Alternatively, you can inform her about the artifact, and she will direct you to meet the Inquisitor. Rest assured, even if you reveal that you possess the artifact, they won’t be able to take it from you.
Regardless of how you resolve this situation, the conversation and information you can gather in the Inquisitor Chambers are valuable, especially considering that you’ll ultimately need to visit the Inquisitor’s Chambers to also obtain the Blood of Lathander in Baldur’s Gate 3.
Once you’ve finished exploring or spoken with the inquisitor and Queen Vlaketh, the Githyanki will typically become hostile, and you’ll need to fight to survive. To acquire the Gloves of Belligerent Skies, simply loot it from the chest (X:-127 Y:561) just next to the door to the Inquisitor’s chambers when you deal with all enemies.
