Many of the legendary weapons and armor in Assassin’s Creed Shadows are tied to specific quests, so you can only unlock them when you complete the said missions. However, some of the legendary gear is hidden in random Legendary Chests throughout the world. One such item is the Rage of Red Mist Kanabo in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

In this guide, we’ll go through exactly where you need to go to unlock this legendary weapon. We’ll also briefly look at its unique engraving.

How To Find the Rage of Red Mist Kanabo in Assassin’s Creed Shadows?

You can get this item very early on in the game, even before unlocking Yasuke as a playable character. All you need to do is head to the Yamashiro region of the map. Then, explore the region to find the Grave of Buried Hopes location on the map. The nearest fast travel point to this location is the Hanazono Tower. Head to the northwestern part of the fast travel point to discover this particular location.

Once you are at the Grave of Buried Hopes, climb up the stairs to find a man wearing a large woven basket on his head, playing a flute. Take an immediate right from this man and then move forward for a bit. Then, take a sharp left, and you should find a chest hidden among some trees. Interact with the chest to receive the Rage of Red Mist Kanabo.

Since this is an early mission area, you are free to go and get the Kanabo at any point in the game after the prologue ends.

How To Use the Rage of Red Mist Kanabo in AC Shadows

This legendary kanabo comes with a great perk. The engraving ensures that Yasuke will restore an Adrenaline Chunk whenever he breaks an opponent’s armor with the weapon. Both Naoe and Yasuke use adrenaline chunks to unleash powerful and deadly abilities that you unlock over the course of the game.

So, with one adrenaline chunk getting replenished with every armor break, Yasuke can use his abilities more frequently during fights involving armored opponents. You can also add another engraving to the weapon. Our suggestion would be to engrave an armor damage perk, which will help you break off armor quickly. This ensures even greater adrenaline chunk replenishment.
