The best way to use the Ring of Self Immolation in on a Draconic Sorcerer due to their elemental affinity at level 6. You activate your heat with a bonus action, then consume it on a separate button to the right of your User Interface. This will grant an increase in damage to the spell. The best spell to use is Fireball because the bonus damage applies to all targets. However, using Scorching Fire will only trigger extra damage on the first bolt. Therefore, use this combo on big AOE battles where you plan on hitting many enemies for increased damage.
