Cinder Shoes

When you use something like Burning Breath, Dragonborn Fire Breath, or Scorching Ray, you can proc a Burn status effect. If this happens while you have the Cinder Shoes equipped this will then give you Heat. You’ll take a small bit of damage, but over time this will passively ramp up the Heat resource. Then you can consume it for a boost to your fire damage for every turn of Heat. This is very good on specific builds like Draconic Bloodline Sorcerer or Evocation Wizard which rely on fire damage early with spells like Scorching Ray, Buring Breath and Fireball.

How to Get Cinder Shoes in Baldur’s Gate 3

You can purchase Cinder Shoes from a vendor named Blurg who can be found in the Myconid Colony in the Underdark. A quick way to get into the Underdark is to use the Well found in the Blighted Village. However, at least one of your characters will need to pass a DC10 Intelligence check in order to be able to discover the well. Once down inside there will be lots of spider enemies, in addition to a Phase Spider Matriach you can choose to fight.

Head west over to find the Whispering Depth waypoint. Near there should be a open chasm. Cast Feather Fall or consume a Feather Fall potion BEFORE jumping in. This will land you safely in the Underdark. Head northwest and you should find the Myconid Colony. You’ll have to pass a DC 5 Charisma check in order to convince them that you’re a friendly sort, and they’ll allow you in. You’ll find Blurg just a little to the north of the Colony waypoint.
