Where To Get the Scarlet Fate Tanto in Assassin’s Creed Shadows?

You can find the Scarlet Fate tanto inside the Chasuriyama Kofun, which is located on the top left-hand side of the game’s world map. More specifically, you’ll need to head to the Tamba region to find the Kofun.

Kofun are world activities in AC Shadows, which basically involve you going inside ancient tombs to solve various puzzles and complete platforming sections. At the end of every Kofun, you’ll reach a chest that includes the rewards, usually a legendary piece of gear. Keep in mind that some Kofun are character specific, meaning you can only complete them with either Naoe or Yasuke. For instance, you need to play as Naoe to complete the Chasuriyama Kofun.

Apart from the Scarlet Fate tanto, completing the Kofun will also grant you a Knowledge Point and 1000 XP.

The Scarlet Fate tanto is a legendary item with impressive Weapon DPS, Posture DPS, Bleed Buildup and Ability Damage. However, keep in mind that the exact stat numbers will depend on your current level when acquiring the item. All legendary items scale with Naoe and Yasuke. So, unlocking the tanto at level 39 will mean it will have lower base stats when compared to unlocking it at level 41.

However, one thing that remains the same regardless of your level is the weapon perk. The Scarlet Fate tanto comes with an engraving that increases the impact of all of its attacks. So, every strike is bound to do more damage to an enemy’s health, and you may even strip away their armor much quicker. So, the legendary weapon can help you end fights sooner by taking away more health segments with every attack.
