Let the bleed damage play its trick and further drop the health of the opponent to zero, continuing with your strikes. You should use light attacks instead of heavy attacks. Using light attacks will give you more time to fill up the bar to full compared to the heavy attacks, which may accidentally kill your opponent quicker.
