There are many ways of acquiring weapons in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, such as exploration, completing missions and challenges, and buying them from the in-game store. The way to acquire the Yami no Kage Katana is to clear the Haraiyama Fort in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
This is not an optional fort because as you play the story, the fort will come in your way. You can find this fort near the Warfield of Harima. Multiple rewards await you, but two Samurai Daisho are scouting the area. Eliminate both Daisho with your stealth skills, and then kill the rest of the enemies to loot the fort easily. First, find the key around the northern area of the fort. Use this key to unlock the legendary chest that contains the Yami no Kage Katana.
