Let us indulge in the shinobi practices of silent assassinations and master stealth in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

Naoe and Yasuke are the protagonists in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, whom you get to play as. While Yasuke has a playstyle that heavily relies on his brute strength and attacks, Naoe focuses on a playstyle of stealth and surprise attacks. Let us look at how you can master stealth in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
One of the most important things to keep in mind is to try and reach as close to an enemy headquarters as possible and use your eagle vision. This will help you map out the exact locations of the enemies and devise a strategy to eliminate them as quietly and effectively as possible. Once you move your crosshair on top of the enemy, they get tagged and can be seen on screen even without eagle vision being active.
Best Abilities To Master Stealth in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Hand of the Creed
When in stealth mode, you wouldn’t be able to perform a stealth assassination if the enemy is directly facing you. When you attempt to perform an assassination from the enemy’s front, the prompt button to execute the action does not work. There is, however, an ability that you can add to your plate, which will let you do the same. This ability is the ‘Hand of the Creed.’ This can be unlocked from the Assassin tab under the Mastery option. This ability requires a knowledge rank of 5 to be unlocked and equipped.
Double Assassinate
One of the best ways to master stealth is to time your strikes. Some areas hold a huge number of foes to take out. While stealth is the best option for such a scenario, executing the action becomes strenuous when there is more than one enemy in the same area, watching each other’s backs.
At such times, doing a double assassination is the best course of action. To perform this move, you simply need to unlock the ‘Double Assassination’ skill from the Tanto Skill Tree. Once added, equip the Tanto dagger and perform a double assassination when two enemies are giving you trouble.

Assassination Damage
Assassination damage is an important skill that is essential for performing crucial kills. There are three levels to this, each level increasing the number of health segments reduced with a perfect execution. This will instantly help kill weaker enemies and majorly deplete the health of some stronger enemies.
Whistle
One of the best distractions to use for stealth is a whistle. While staying crouched inside a bush, you can attract the attention of the enemy by whistling. This will cause the enemy to walk up close to you, allowing you to perform a quick takedown. You can stack multiple bodies inside the bushy area, enabling you to perform the action repeatedly.
Best Tool Build In Assassin’s Creed Shadows
Tools are one of the best pieces of equipment to use for your stealth gameplay. They completely nullify your requirement to approach hordes of enemies and create distractions to plan better advancements.
Tools

In Assassin’s Creed Shadows, we are subject to four tools that we can later enhance the abilities of and make stronger:
Weapons | Use |
Kunai Knife | These are small, dagger-shaped throwables that prove lethal against unarmored enemies. These are strong enough to one-shot enemies if thrown right. |
Sinnobi Bell | It can be used to create a distraction on one or multiple opponents and lure them in a direction fit for your benefit. |
Smoke bomb | This tool can be used to temporarily blind and daze your opponents as you take the opportunity to get into a stealthy cover. |
Shuriken | These are star-shaped throwables, which may cause less damage compared to Kunai knives. These, however, are very effective at stunning enemies, aiding us in closing the distance with them. |
Abilities

As you increase your knowledge rank, more abilities will be unlocked to enhance the effectiveness of your tools. Some effective abilities you can master under tools at a lower knowledge rank are as follows:
Ability | Description |
Knuai Assassination Damage | Reduce an additional health segment with each Kunai thrown. |
Enduring Haze | Increase the duration of the Smoke bomb to 10 seconds. |
Tool Professional | Increase damage with tools by 18%. |
Loadout

Certain clothes, when worn by the character, will help enhance the effectiveness and strengths of the tools used. Some of the best gear to use along with your throwables are these:
Armour | Description 1 | Description 2 |
Tools Master Mask | Shurikens will no longer break on hard impact. | Plus, 1 health segment is removed when assassinating with Kunai |
Tools Master Gear | Throws a kunai at the closest enemy after an assassination. | Restores 20% health after using tools. |
Tatsu’s Triumph | Shurikens will no longer break on hard impact. | Plus, 1 health segment is removed when assassinating with Kunai |
