Players can recruit a warrior named Yagoro as an ally in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. So, in this article, we will tell you how to do that.

During your quest to liberate Feudal Japan, you will encounter many different NPCs. Some of these characters will be your typical NPCs; however, you will find many others you can recruit as your allies. Yagoro is a young warrior who has a weapon similar to Naoe’s. He can be a great ally and companion in your mission against the Templars or the Order in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
So, in this article, we will tell you how you can find Yagoro in the game and recruit him as your ally in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
How To Get Yagoro in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

To recruit Yagoro in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, first, you must find him. He will be north of the Maniden Hall, in the northern part of Engyoji. After that, Yagoro will have a mission for you to complete before he joins your League. This quest is named A Blade in the Dark. Additionally, you can do this mission with either Yasuke or Naoe. At first, it will pop up between Mount Kasagata and Engyoji on your map.
Once you reach the blue mission marker and start the quest, you will find a corpse with a wound that looks like it was made with a hidden blade. After that, you will find some tracks next to the dead body. Follow them, and shortly after, someone will task you with tracking down a shinobi. Later, this mysterious figure will turn out to be Yagoro. You will find him murdering NPCs in a camp. Next, speak to him, and then you will have to fight him. This test of skill won’t be too hard.
Defeat Yagoro

Yagoro’s fighting pattern will be similar to other shinobis you have encountered in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. At this point in the game, you will know that shinobis rely on tricks and numerous techniques rather than brute force. In addition to that, Yagoro will use short slashes and throwing knives. However, as we mentioned, he is not a physically strong opponent, so you won’t have much trouble defeating him.
Once you have defeated him, speak to him, and he will ask you to take down a different samurai. You will be able to find this new target in Jyujiin Courtyard. It won’t be far from your battle with Yagoro. However, it won’t be easy to kill the samurai in the courtyard we mentioned because it will be filled with different hostile NPCs. We recommend that you choose Naoe for this particular mission, but the samurai cannot be killed with a stealth takedown. So you can also go with Yasuke as well.
Kill the Samurai

From this point on, the mission becomes pretty basic. Simply infiltrate the courtyard and kill the samurai in any way you wish. Once you kill the samurai, it will trigger a cutscene. After that, the mystery around the second hidden blade will be revealed, and you will learn that Yagoro made the copy himself. Shortly after that, Yagoro will join your league.
Yagoro Can Be a Useful Ally in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
After recruiting Yagoro, you will have the option to do some other quests related to him. One of the notable missions among these is Past and Present, during which you will learn more about Yagoro’s old life in his hometown, Tamba.
However, despite some of the other allies being available for romance, Yagoro is not. Moreover, he can be quite a useful ally to you, and his hidden blade can be a great weapon when you feel the need to assassinate someone.
