Romancing Rin in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

In AC Shadows, you will be able to romance Rin through a series of decisions made across multiple quests. Also, you can only choose Yasuke as the character to romance her. Here is a list of quests where your selections will influence the outcome of romancing Rin:

Winter Raiders

In AC Shadows, you will encounter Rin for the first time during the Winter Raiders quest. This quest is set in Gobo, located south of Kii Province. Once you arrive at the location, you will spot Rin shouting for help.

Upon talking to her, she will inform you that raiders have attacked the town. You must eliminate the Winter Raiders’ target to finish the quest. However, if you just want to romance Rin, you can skip killing the raiders.

Yasuke will head to Mount Omori Hut, Rin’s grandfather’s hut, for the Arrow Strike quest. To find it, travel west of the Kumano Nachi Taisha shrine. Additionally, you can use the Mount Takayama fast-travel point. Once there, a cutscene will trigger where Rin will ask Yasuke to teach her how to fight. Also, you have to choose the second option from the following dialogue choices:

Let me help you clean.
I don’t mind mess.

Next, you will have to shoot the five targets as a part of the quest. Afterward, choose the romance reply: It wasn’t my archery that you were testing.

To begin the next quest, you must wait for the season to change. Afterward, meet Rin at the exact location as the previous quest. Once you arrive, you must help Rin find and calm a horse. After that, take Rin on a horse ride to the waterfall. Soon, a dialogue will open with the following choices:

You excel at everything you try.

Select the second option to lead the conversation in a flirty direction.

Ride Into Town

To conclude the romance with Rin, you must wait for another season to change and then head to Rin’s hut. Once you are there, you will find several bandits. After striking down the enemies, follow Rin on the journey to the town. Next, Rin will talk to a merchant, and a cutscene will trigger with the following dialogue choices:

I will take salmon onigiri.
Plum onigiri, please.
I will have the salted onigiri.

Choose the “Plum onigiri, please” option. Then, Rin and Yasuke will head to explore the town, where they will encounter a musician. After the conversation with the musician, you must choose the romantic reply: I want to draw a picture of you.

Next, both Rin and Yasuke will arrive at a bridge, where the final dialogue will open with these choices:

I would like to kiss you.
I want to be great friends.

Choose the first dialogue, and an intimate cutscene will begin.
