Learn to use the popular Eagle Vision in Assassin’s Creed Shadows and make things easier for Naoe during stealth sections.

Eagle Vision is one of the most useful features in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. In any game in the franchise, this feature serves as a way to recon your surroundings. There have been several changes to the Eagle Vision in the past installments. While some reimagined it as a “pulse”, others completely revamped it by giving you control of a literal “eagle” for recon. AC Shadows brings back the original color-coded vision, though.
Using Eagle Vision in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
It is pretty easy to use Eagle Vision. The button you need to press on consoles is the right thumbstick. On the keyboard, the default key is V. Since the vision emerges as a toggled feature, you don’t need to hold down any buttons. Moreover, you are free to walk and look around when it is activated. It grants you an “x-ray vision” of sorts. So, players are free to peek through all sorts of obstacles within a pre-determined range.
There are a few restrictions to this feature, though. Naoe is the only one out of the two protagonists who have access to the Eagle Vision. Moreover, it has a range limitation that can be deceiving if you are not careful, often leading you into a room with enemies that you probably didn’t check twice. You also can’t climb, parkour, or run while in this mode; sneaking and walking are the only options. Lastly, the highlighted enemies and hiding spots disappear soon after you toggle the vision off, leading to several confusing moments.

While there is no way to tackle the other problems, the last one can be improved with the help of an upgrade. In the Mastery tab in the interactive menu, players can go to the Assassin skill tree. The skill on the bottom right will be already unlocked; this is the basic requirement to trigger Eagle Vision. Above it, however, is the Improved Sense skill. It requires Knowledge Rank 3 to unlock, and then its required Mastery Points will show. It will increase the duration of the highlighted enemies after Eagle Vision is turned off.
When paired with the Observation ability, Eagle Vision can help you mark enemies from beyond walls, giant doors, and floors, even at a considerable distance. As a result, Naoe’s stealth improves.
