With AC Mirage going back to the traditional progression system, players might wonder what the max level is in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

When it comes to upgrading characters in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, players have a lot of options – Upgrading Skill Tree by spending Mastery Points, unlocking new levels of Knowledge by using Knowledge Points, and finally, leveling up with mission and side activity progression.

That being said, the max level in Assassin’s Creed Shadows is 60. However, it is possible to upgrade the protagonists further and equip them with better Skills and deadly combos.

How Does the Level System Work in Assassin’s Creed Shadows?

Leveling up in Assassin’s Creed Shadows is pretty straightforward. Players get XP points by taking on targets and completing main quests and side missions, which count toward the overall level progression. Once the max level of 60 is reached, you can unlock Knowledge Points by completing various activities – Kuji-kiri, Kofuns, and praying at the Shrines. These points unlock several more Skills in the Skill Tree for both Yasuke and Naoe.

For each side activity you complete, the protagonists receive one Knowledge Point. Fortunately, both Naoe and Yasuke share the same level and Knowledge Rank, thus allowing players to upgrade their skills if they have already leveled up their Knowledge Rank.

Unlike AC Valhalla, players won’t have to grind until they reach the max power level of 535, especially after spending hundreds of hours just completing side activities. Assassin’s Creed Shadows takes a different approach this time around and integrates both exploration and quests into the character progression system.
