Assassin’s Creed Shadows has many hidden burial grounds scattered around its map. These are called Kofuns. Generally, players can find these places, explore their interior, and solve some environmental puzzles to get a chest with some great loot in it.

The Kofuns can be a great way to explore the world of AC Shadows while collecting much-needed equipment at the same time. That is why, in this article, we will be taking a look at how you can get your hands on the chest that lies in the Ishibutai Kofun in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

Players will be able to find the Ishibutai Kofun in Assassin’s Creed Shadow in the Yamato Region. To be more specific, you will need to head towards the southeast of the Yasuka Rock Basin to find this place. If you are still confused or facing some trouble finding the location, then the image above will surely help you.

Additionally, the Kofuns are accessible to both protagonists in Shadows. However, we still recommend Naoe for this certain Burial Chamber, since she is small enough to enter the Ishibutai Kofun in the first place.

How To Find The Legendary Chest in Ishibutai Kofun

First, you will have to reach the location mentioned earlier and then enter the Kofun with Naoe. After that, take the stairs and head down; you will find a crack in the wall on the left side, which you can use to enter the next area. Then again, make your way down another set of stairs, and you will stumble upon the first chest in the Kofun. However, this chest is not the legendary chest, and we will have to wait a bit longer to get it.

From there, crawl under the wall to the east and move forward. You will then come across a parkour section; simply jump over the numerous platforms to get to the other side. Next, you will come across a gap between the platform you are on and the next. However, there will be a grappling point nearby, which you can use to reach the other side. After that, you will stumble across yet another parkour section.

The First Parkour Area

Simply jump over the wooden beams attached to the wall and keep following the path in front of you until you come across another crawlspace. You know the drill, crawl under the wall and then go up the slope to reach yet another parkour area. Follow the platforms in front of you and use your grappling hook to get out of this part of the cave. This is one of the reasons we recommend Naoe. While Yasuke can jump over platforms, his shinobi counterpart is much faster and will save you some time.

After that, you will find two more grappling points to proceed further. Once you are at the end of the road, don’t worry; it is just yet another area where you will have to utilize the parkour mechanics. There is not much to say here; you will have to jump over some platforms and use your grappling hook yet again to reach the next platform. The parkour in Assassin’s Creed Shadows is not a complicated system, so you won’t have any trouble going through this part of the cave.

Use Both the Grappling Points To Proceed Further

Once you have reached the next platform, you will need to go up a slope. Immediately after that, you will have to crawl through a gap, slide down a slope, and then jump over a wall, and you will enter the next area. Then, you will come across a cliff. Use the grappling point above you and jump down to the platform below. Then move forward and use the second grappling point to navigate over the gap and safely reach the next platform.

From there, climb up the wall in front and keep walking. Soon, you will find the second chest in the Ishibutai Kofun. After that, you will find another cliff, which you will have to grapple across. However, this one is a bit tricky because to grab this point, you will need to head down the slope in front of you and use the grapple when the prompt shows up. This section needs immaculate timing to get through, so it is fine if you die once or twice.

Grab the Items From the Legendary Chest

Once you have reached the giant pillar in the middle of the place, you will have to grapple once again to the wooden platform across it. Additionally, you will find a chest on the wooden platform and notice some wooden beams in front of it. You know the drill, use the beams to get to the next area and then climb up the wall there to find another grappling point.

Use it to reach the opening on the other side of the gap, and then continue climbing until you reach a walkable platform. From there, go straight to the end of that path, and you will find the legendary chest you came for.
