Here is what you need to know about Fuses in Riot Games’ fighting game title, 2XKO, and what they do in the game.

2XKO has a gameplay feature called Fuses, which are gameplay modifiers that can change how you play the match. These unique perks open up a ton of synergy options between champions. Currently, there are five types of Fuses to choose from. Each of them is unique, catering to different playstyles and even skill levels.
One example is the Pulse Fuse, which can help you do combos by pressing only one attack button. This is perfect for players who are still learning how to play the game. With that said, let’s take a look at all the Fuses in 2XKO and what they do in the game.

All Fuses and Their Effects in 2XKO

During the champion select, you can choose one from the five currently available Fuses in 2XKO. Each of these fuses offers perks that can be beneficial based on your preferred playstyle. We might be getting more Fuses when the game leaves the Closed Beta phase. Here is a quick rundown of all the fuses and what they do:
- Pulse: Press attack buttons quickly to pull off wild combos.
- Double Down: Combine your ult with your partner’s.
- Juggernaut: Fight as a single champion with enhanced powers.
- Fury: When below 40 percent health, deal bonus damage and gain a special dash cancel.
- Freestyle: Handshake Tag twice in one sequence.
- 2x Assist: Empower your partner champion with multiple assist actions.
More information about each one can be found below:
Pulse
The Pulse Fuse is arguably the best one for new players, as it allows you to spam one button, and it will do an auto combo. However, keep in mind that this perk is the least viable option if you want to play competitively. This is only good if you are still learning how to play the game. Eventually, you will have to learn the proper combos for each champion.
Double Down
If you are familiar with fighting games, most of these titles allow you to chain supers between your point and assist characters. However, that combo is only possible if you have a Fuse like Double Down in 2XKO. With this perk, you start with a Super from your point character. You can then chain it with your assist’s Super for a devastating combo.

Juggernaut
The Juggernaut Fuse puts a massive limitation on you by disabling Assists in exchange for massive stat boosts. This means you will only be playing with one champion. It’s best used when playing solo without a duo partner.
For beginners who are not comfortable with switching between champions, this is a good starter option for you. But then again, you will have to learn how to utilize your assists if you want to be competitive. As for the buffs, here is a quick rundown of all the benefits you can get:
- More health.
- Defensive boost below 30% HP.
- Access to Fury Break from the round start.
- Access to Eject, which forces the opponent’s assist to tag in.
- Start with two bars of meter (max five).
- Access to Self Double Down (Super into Super/Ultimate alone).
Fury
The Fury Fuse increases your bonus damage and adds a special dash cancel whenever you are below 40% health. It’s a good perk if you find yourself in sticky situations for most of the match. This should give you the edge when you are low on health. However, just like the Pulse Fuse, this is not that available competitively. Its strict requirement of dropping below 40% health makes it inconsistent.

Freestyle
Before you use Freestyle, make sure you already know the concept of Active Tag. Normally, when you call for an assist mid-fight, you can only swap into one champion before the ability goes on cooldown. However, if you equip the Freestyle Fuse, you are allowed to do an Active Tag twice in a row. This means you can switch back to your previous champion immediately after tagging your secondary champion or duo partner. This allows you to do some “mixup” combos that can surprise your opponent with attacks they can’t anticipate.
This Fuse usually works wonders if you are playing solo, as you can control both champions. But with a coordinated duo, you can pull off some surprising plays with this one.
2x Assist
This Fuse is self-explanatory. You get a second assist while the first one is still active on the screen. For example, you can have Braum do an assist and do another follow-up with his shield bash. This helps you lock your enemy for far longer. This is perfect for champions that can apply pressure through their assists.
