As Monster Hunter Wilds nears release, anticipation is high, and dataminers are already uncovering leaks through in-game files. The content found in the beta release of the game is limited and does not include most of the ones on the leaks. However, the community is speculating that at least some of the information in the leaks will be in the full release of the game soon.

5 Interesting Leaks From Monster Hunter Wilds Datamine on Reddit
A Redditor named RoseKaedae compiled and shared a list of all the Monster Hunter Wilds leaks they uncovered, sparking discussions across the community. Their findings include details on potential new monsters, map layouts, gameplay mechanics, and even the return of fan-favorite pet, Poogie. While the accuracy of these leaks remains unconfirmed, they have given fans plenty to speculate about as they await official news from Capcom.
The thread is quite long and packed with information about potential content in Monster Hunter Wilds. There are also major spoilers for the story campaign in the post. To make things easier, here’s a breakdown of the major leaks uncovered in the post:
1) MHW Maps and Locations Leaks
One major Monster Hunter Wilds leak reveals the list of maps and their subareas. According to leaks, there will be five full-scale maps. On top of the confirmed ecosystems, a new region named Wounded Hollow will also be present.
Additionally, various sections of each map and the monsters that reside in each area have been revealed by the leaks.
2) In-Game Story and Final Boss Monster
Another notable leak is the information regarding the in-game story and the possible final boss monster of the story campaign. To prevent spoilers, we won’t be discussing the story leaks. According to dataminers, the story progression follows a chapter-based structure. You unlock more of the story quests by reaching a specific Hunter Rank. There are five chapters revealed in the file leaks.
Considering how the Wounded Hollow is the last map to be revealed, the final boss battle of the story might also be happening on this map. However, we won’t know for sure until Capcom confirms it.
3) List of Weapons
The list of weapons in Monster Hunter Wilds is arguably one of the most intriguing leaks for players. Some of the weapons listed on the post are already in the beta version, while others are yet to be seen. Additionally, some of these weapons are shown to require materials obtainable from new monsters.
4) Possible Number of Monsters and Species
There are also leaks regarding the list of monsters possibly arriving in the full release of Monster Hunter Wilds. Additionally, a new class of monsters called “Guardian” is present in the game files. Without diving into spoiler territory, these monsters are unique “artificial” versions of the regular ones.

5) Poogie Might Be Added to the Game
A leak suggests that Poogie, the beloved mascot of the Monster Hunter series, will make its return in Monster Hunter Wilds upon full release. It is still unknown if you can customize the cute little mascot in the game.
