The developer announced it on the game’s official X channel and added that the servers will be going offline for “tinkering” purposes. Season 13, which began on July 25, 2024, is currently ongoing in the treacherous waters, and the game’s latest patch arrived on August 6. Players should keep the downtime in mind when going on voyages as the servers will kick them out of the session once the maintenance begins. Thankfully, Sea of Thieves gives warnings in-game about when the servers will go down.
When may Sea of Thieves servers be up on August 22?
There’s no official confirmation yet as to when the servers will be back up after the Sea of Thieves downtime today (August 22). However, given that this patch is likely going to focus on fixes and minor changes, the server maintenance will probably last a couple of hours. The servers will likely be up and running again between 11 am-12 pm UTC. The devs will also share the release notes for players to go through and find out what’s new.
