Learn about the Yarovit MG4 God Roll for PVE and PVP content, the best perks, and how to get it in this Destiny 2 guide!
Yarovit MG4 is a stasis lightweight frame submachine gun introduced into the world loot pool during Episode: Echoes. Submachine guns are a fast firing weapon that have gone in and out of the meta several times. Lightweight frame submachine guns don’t hit as hard but have a much faster fire rate than other weapons of the same type. The Yarovit MG4 can be enhanced, granting it access to enhanced perks in Columns 3 and 4. In this guide, we will discuss the PvE and PvP god rolls and how to get the Yarovit MG4 submachine gun.

What Is the Yarovit MG4 God Roll in Destiny 2?
A god roll is the best combination of perks and masterwork that a weapon can get. God rolls are often sought after as they are considered the ultimate drop of that weapon and the most effective roll used in most content. In most situations, there are two god rolls for any gun, a roll for PvE and one for PvP. While we could make a fairly powerful PvE roll, we opted for a more unique roll for the PvE god roll. The same is true for the PvP roll, with more typical rolls available, but since those combinations are found on other weapons, we went with a more unique roll.
PvE Yarovit MG4 God Roll
The best perks for the Yarovit MG4 PvE God Roll are Hammer-forged Rifling, Flared Magwell, Rewind Rounds, and Deconstruct. These provide important stats, utility, and damage for the weapon.
The following list is the best perks for the Yarovit MG4 PvE God Roll in Destiny 2:
- Barrel: Hammer-forged Rifling
- Magazine: Flared Magwell
- Column 3 Trait: Rewind Rounds
- Column 4 Trait: Deconstruct
- Masterwork: Reload Speed
- Origin Trait: Omolon Fluid Dynamics
- Weapon Mod: Heavy Ammo Finder Enhancement
PvE Breakdown
Because of their very fast fire rate and ease of use, lightweight frame submachine guns are favored in PvE. The Yarovit can roll with a pretty straightforward damage-dealing roll with Encore and Surrounded, but when looking at primary weapons we want to find the most unique options as there are other submachine guns with damage options. That brings us to the Rewind Rounds and Deconstruction combination, which basically will adding ammo into the magazine for quite a while. While you can’t shoot forever, you can easily fire well over 60 rounds before having to reload.
Since the stats on the Yarovit MG4 are all decent for submachine gun, we can just improve the range with Hammer-forged Rifling. Honestly any barrel will add a small bonus to this weapon which is helpful so don’t sweat that too much. Appended Mag is less useful on submachine guns as it only adds a couple of rounds to the magazine. Flared Magwell will increase the reload speed and stability of the weapon, and that is a much more useful bonus overall. The Yarovit MG4 may not be a meta pick, but its ability to fire a lot of rounds without reloading can be useful in the right situations.
Other PvE Rolls of Note
- Encore / Surrounded
- A more damage-focused option
PvP Yarovit MG4 God Roll
The best perks for the Yarovit MG4 PvP God Roll are Hammer-forged Rifling, Ricochet Rounds, Dynamic Sway Reduction, and Zen Moment. These provide important stats, utility, and damage for the weapon.
The following list is the best perks for the Yarovit MG4 PvP God Roll in Destiny 2:
- Barrel: Hammer-Forged Rifling
- Magazine: Ricochet Rounds
- Column 3 Trait: Dynamic Sway Reduction
- Column 4 Trait: Zen Moment
- Masterwork: Range
- Origin Trait: Omolon Fluid Dynamics
- Weapon Mod: Ballistics
PvP Breakdown
Submachine guns are a fairly common sight in the Crucible. They have a decent time to kill and are very easy to use and lightweight frames like the Yarovit are great options. The Yarovit MG4 doesn’t have a lot of great options for PvP in general, but it can be made into a very consistent weapon. Like with any weapon in PvP, the greater its range the better it will perform in the Crucible. Hammer-forged Rifling and Ricochet Rounds are two of the more common traits to take to do this. Omolon Fluid Dynamics is also just a great origin trait for PvP because of its stability and reload speed bonus at the top half of the magazine.
Since we are working to make the submachine gun as consistent as possible we will be taking two very similar traits in columns 3 and 4. Dynamic Sway Reduction and Zen Moment both make the weapon more stable and accurate the longer you hold the trigger while hitting a target. This will help keep the reticle on said target making precision shots much easier. Overall, this isn’t a super powerful PvP option but can be a good consistent one.
