In this guide, we shall go over Jewels in Path of Exile 2 (PoE2), how to use them to enhance skills, and where to find them.
Path of Exile 2 features extensive customization and character creation, all of which exist to ensure that the player character can be the virtual avatar for them. The game further enables this by incorporating a massive passive skill tree with various skills to pick and choose from. The options are extensive by design to let you make a character that is truly your own. The tree is improved through the use of Jewels, which can enhance your skills further, making you more capable and prepared when venturing into the game’s world.
However, you aren’t explicitly told how to use them. In this guide, we will go over Jewels in Path of Exile 2, how to use them to enhance skills, and where to find them.
How To Use Jewels
Jewels in Path of Exile 2 are used in Jewel Socket nodes in the game’s passive skill tree. You can use Jewels in Path of Exile 2 by following the steps below:
- Use the Jewel by first opening up the Passive skill tree through the game’s menu.
- Next, scroll across the skill tree to find the Jewel Socket you wish to slot the Jewel into.
- Once you’ve identified and confirmed the Jewel Socket you want to activate, click on it.
- The game will open up your inventory. Select the Jewel and drag it over to the Jewel Socket to unlock it.
Where To Find Jewels
While using Jewels in Path of Exile 2 is the easy part, finding them is not easy. Jewels are hard to come across in the game and are a seemingly rare commodity. They are mostly found as random drops from enemies, putting you solely at the mercy of the game’s RNG. However, do not lose hope, as some areas seem to drop Jewels more often than others.
Keth is one of the areas you’ll visit pretty early on in the game. The enemies here drop a ton of loot, and so do the bosses, such as the Ninth Treasure of Keth. In our case, we found most of our Jewels in Keth. We recommend heading into the underground caverns of the region, as most of our Jewel drops came from there. We also recommend equipping yourself with items that provide a rarity bonus. These items increase the drop rate and will help you farm Jewels.
