Kyurem can be countered in Pokemon GO with Dragon-, Fairy-, Fighting-, Rock-, and Steel-type Pokemon and moves. The Ice- and Dragon-type Generation V Legendary can be a nuisance to deal with if your team is not prepared with the best attackers of the proper types, especially since the raid boss has a massive 43478 CP.
Nevertheless, well-prepared players will be able to take it down solo with a party comprising of Mega Rayquaza, Shadow Metagross, Terrakion, Dusk Mane Necrozma, Shadow Rhyperior, and Shadow Metagross. Kyurem is currently exclusively available in the USA at special McDonald’s Gyms in Pokemon GO 5-star raids from December 16 to December 22, 2024, from 6 pm to 7 pm local time. This is a collaboration between the two brands that also includes sponsored PokeStops with featured Lure Module encounters.
For the global player base, the next 5-star Raid Boss is Altered Forme Giratina, appearing on December 26. Presently, trainers can encounter the likes of Mega Latias in Mega Raids and Cryogonal in 3-star raids in Pokemon GO.
