Solo Leveling season 2 will continue from where season 1 left off. In season 1 of the anime, fans were introduced to Sung Jin-Woo, a lowly E-Rank monster Hunter who was given the title of “The World’s Weakest Hunter.” However, after a life-threatening incident inside a Double Dungeon, Jin-Woo is given a second chance at life by the “System.”

Following his recovery at the hospital, Jin-Woo is given several tasks and quests by the System, which makes him stronger upon completing the given tasks. After that, Jin-Woo embarks on a mission to overcome his weaknesses and become the strongest Hunter in the world with the help of the System.

Solo Leveling season 1 concluded with Sung Jin-Woo gaining the powers of the Shadow Monarch and adding Igris, a powerful shadow soldier, to his vast shadow army. Season 2 will pick up from the Red Gate arc of the Solo Leveling manhwa, which will feature Jin-Woo getting trapped inside the world of Ice Elves. Subsequently, the upcoming season will likely adapt the Demon Castle arc, Retesting Rank arc, Hunters Guild Gate arc, and the Return to Demon Castle arc.

Yes, Solo Leveling Season 2 does have a manhwa. In fact, the anime adaptation of the series is based on the popular South Korean web novel written by Chugong. The webtoon or manhwa adaptation of the series began serialization on March 4, 2018. It was illustrated by Jang Sung-rak (DUBU). The webtoon’s first season concluded on March 19, 2020. Its second season ran from August 2020 to December 2021.
