While waiting for the release of GTA 6, many fans are scouring the internet for anything that would hint at a release date. For now, official details about the game remain under wraps. However, the community is buzzing with leaks, rumors, and speculation about what the next installment of this iconic series might bring. From potential settings and gameplay features to character details and storylines, everyone is hungry for a small glimpse of any hints about the game.

Let’s dive into some of the major GTA 6 leaks we have seen so far. Keep in mind that these are all based on rumors and speculations and are not confirmed by Rockstar Games themselves.

List of Major GTA 6 Leaks We Know So Far

Browsing and discussing GTA 6 leaks have been one of the things that keep fans busy in the past months. While waiting for the game’s official release date to be announced, let’s take a look at a few of these leaks.

GTA 6 Trailer 2 Release Date Theory

It all started when a Rockstar Games’ mission designer, Jow (@rockope) shared a picture of some holiday merch the company gave them as a gift. 

This post quickly gained the attention of the fans who were scavenging the internet for hints and leaks for the next installment of the GTA series. Aside from the color scheme of the Rockstar Games logo on the t-shirt, which resembled the one from GTA 6, fans also noticed a paper below the table. People began sharing their theories on what the “clues” on the paper meant. 

This led to people claiming that a second trailer for GTA 6 would be released on December 27. You can see all the fan theories in the comment section of the post. However, this is a pure speculation until Rockstar Games themselves confirm it.

Fake GTA 6 Gameplay Leak

A recent GTA 6 gameplay leak was proven to be fake. However, due to how this clip went viral, a lot might not be aware that the creators of the fake leak revealed it was all made up. The clip in question shows 30-second footage of what the game allegedly looked like.

However, a few hours after the video went viral in the community, it was revealed to be fake. The fake gameplay was made using Unreal Engine 5 and not the RAGE game engine that Rockstar Games uses.

GTA 6 Release Window

The Take-Two financial report for May 2024 has hinted that GTA VI is set to be released sometime in the Fall of 2025. 

“Our outlook reflects a narrowing of Rockstar Games’ previously established window of Calendar 2025 to Fall of Calendar 2025 for Grand Theft Auto VI.”

This narrows down the potential release date from the game. However, we are still not getting any exact release dates or gameplay footage. The only thing we got so far is the official trailer which doesn’t show much in terms of the gameplay. 

Potential Platforms for GTA 6

The same Take-Two financial report revealed the potential platform releases of GTA 6. They claimed that PS5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S will get GTA6.

Unfortunately, Rockstar is not revealing any news on GTA6 PC release. It seems Rockstar Games is looking to focus on console release before releasing the game on PC.
