As you progress through the world of Palworld, you will find yourself relying on your good old trusty sidearms more often than not. Guns are key to survival in these lands, and these guns need to be stocked up on ammo. Sulfur in Palworld is used to craft gunpowder, which in turn is used to craft ammo.

The higher you level up, the better your weaponry will get and the more ammo you will require. While Sulfur is essential, it may be difficult to find if you don’t know where to look or how to farm it. In this guide, we shall go over where to find Sulfur in Palworld and how to use it.

Where To Find Sulfur?

Finding Sulfur is a simple affair in Palworld. You find Sulfur in Palword by mining Sulfur Nodes scattered across the map. These are giant yellow rocks that contain Sulfur deposits. You can obtain Sulfur by following the steps below:

  • Approach the Sulfur node.
  • Use your Pickaxe to pick at the rocks and mine the Sulfur needed.
  • Alternatively, you can use Pals to mine the Sulfur for you. Digtoise, in particular, can chip through the rocks at breakneck speed and get you the Sulfur you desire.

As we stated earlier, the Sulfur nodes are scattered across the map but can be found in higher quantity and concentration in some specific areas. You will find the Sulfur nodes in abundance towards the western end of the map, near the fast travel point close to the Eternal Pyre Tower Entrance.

You can travel to the area and mine the Sulfur nodes every in-game day to keep your stock full. Take note that you will require heat-resistant armor to access this region due to the lava in the area.

With the Sulfur in hand, it is time to get crafting. You will require a High-Quality Workbench and the Gunpowder recipe to get crafting. You unlock the Gunpowder recipe at Level 21, and can then access it through the Technology menu.

Interact with the High Quality Workbench and it will bring up a large grid of recipes you can craft. Scroll down to reach the Gunpowder recipe, which requires 1x Sulfur and 2x Charcoal. Click on the recipe to craft as many as you like. If you’re short on Charcoal, you can craft it at the Primitive Furnace using wood.
