Is GTA Online Free?
Technically, GTA Online is free as it comes with Grand Theft Auto 5. Whether players have a PC, PlayStation, or Xbox, everyone can enjoy the benefits of GTA Online if they bought the base version. However, after June 14th, 2022, players can buy GTA Online separately on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. To play online on PlayStation 4/5, players need to buy a PS Plus subscription.
GTA Online Is Free on PS Plus
A PS Plus subscription is needed to play multiplayer games on PlayStation 4/5, which means it becomes a necessary purchase in order to enjoy the real essence of some game. Grand Theft Auto 5 comes under the subscription of PS Plus, so it basically becomes a free title after buying the subscription. The game came to the catalogue in December 2023 but sadly got removed in June 2024. However, it recently got relisted in the PS Plus subscription catalogue.
