Hasan Piker, also known as HasanAbi, is one of the top ten streamers on Twitch. He is a former entertainment and political journalist who used to be part of The Young Turks show. Hasan used to offer views and analysis of the top stories of the day and covered pop culture news.
He moved to Twitch and became a political commentator on the platform. Hasan discusses world politics on the platform, and he currently has the ninth most popular Twitch channel, according to Twitch Tracker.

In December 2021, HasanAbi was banned for using the word “cr*cker” to racially stereotype white Americans. He argued that the term could not be used as a slur, but Twitch sustained the ban for a week.
Hasan’s Twitch channel received attention from mainstream media during his coverage of the Israel-Hamas conflict. He was invited by Cambridge University and multiple mainstream news outlets to discuss the topic. The streamer raised over one million dollars for Palestinians with the help of his community in October 2023.
