Popular Twitch streamer Felix “xQc” Lengyel recently commented on the ongoing World of Warcraft (WoW) drama that involves fellow streamer Jason “Thor” Hall. xQc said that Thor should be kicked from the streamer-only OnlyFangs guild and banned from the game.

Thor, popularly known as Pirate Software, allegedly made mistakes during a WoW Hardcore raid that led to two players dying in-game and losing their characters. The incident went viral on social media, and thousands of Twitter users allegedly sent death threats to Pirate Software.

OnlyFangs guild leader and Twitch streamer Chance “Sodapoppin” Morris has already addressed the situation and said that the WoW community took the situation “too far.” Despite xQc’s calls to ban Pirate Software, Sodapoppin has not penalized Pirate Software for his alleged in-game mistakes.

xQc Wants Pirate Software Banned From OnlyFangs

On January 12, 2025, Twitch streamers Yamato, Snoopy, Ozyfell, and Sara were playing with OnlyFangs in a Classic Hardcore server. All in-game deaths in Hardcore mode are permanent, and players lose all progress. The raid was not going well, and Pirate Software allegedly made mistakes that forced Snupy and Sara to lose all progress.

xQc saw a clip of the incident and shared his thoughts on the situation, by saying:

“Just ban the guy from the guild and don’t allow him to play anymore. Want to know why? In a crucial moment, when people have to communicate and focus on gameplay and cooperate, the guy starts arguing. And the guy starts create like a weird mald dialogue. I’d never want to hear that sh*t ever again.”

The streamer claimed that “if Soda had a backbone,” he would kick Pirate Software from the guild. At the time of writing, Sodapoppin and other guild members have decided against banning Pirate Software.

Sodapoppin Decides Against Banning Pirate Software

Pirate Software issued a statement addressing the recent controversy. He acknowledged that he made mistakes and also called out the WoW community for allegedly sending death threats.

Sodapoppin assessed the situation and read Pirate Software’s statement on stream. Despite xQc’s calls to ban Pirate from OnlyFangs, Soda said on stream:

“‘Each person made mistakes, including myself.’ Okay. I mean, he’s got a point. Viewers are going way too far with it. His play was terrible, he ratted out hard. Despite that people, it’s getting crazy. It has gone really far.”

Sodapoppin assessed Pirate Software’s gameplay and said that Pirate could have saved Snupy and Sara from dying in-game, but he failed because of misplays. Pirate Software is still a member of OnlyFangs, and he said he will return to his WoW hardcore streams on January 14, 2025.
