With OnePlus’s latest flagship, OnePlus 13, nearing its launch, let’s take a look at its release date, specs, and more updates.
With a release date of January 14, 2025, OnePlus 13 is almost around the corner along with two other products – OnePlus 13R and OnePlus Buds Pro 3. After interacting with its customer base, the Chinese electronics manufacturer identified the improvements that consumers are looking for in a flagship phone in 2025 – a fast and smooth operating system with intelligent cutting-edge AI features, an advanced camera, a powerful chipset, and a premium design.
Let’s take a look at OnePlus 13 and what it brings to the table for the flagship mobile phone market, considering its mid-range pricing compared to the premium flagships from Apple and Samsung.
What’s New in OnePlus 13?
OnePlus 13 replaced the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip in OnePlus 12 with a better-performing chipset, Snapdragon 8 Elite. The latter offers brand-new cores and faster AI processing to facilitate a smoother OS. Significant improvements were observed over the last flagship in terms of battery life, which increased from 5400 mAh in OnePlus 12 to 6000 mAh in OnePlus 13.
In collaboration with Hasselblad, OnePlus 13 brings a small upgrade to the camera setup by replacing the 48MP Ultra Wide lens with a new 50MP version. Other additions include an IP68, IP69 certification, Android 15 support, and 60 FPS video recording support in 4K resolution.
