A new update has surfaced in the ongoing controversy surrounding Jason “PirateSoftware” and the OnlyFangs guild. Chance “Sodapoppin” the owner of the guild, has kicked out Jason out of the guild. On January 15, 2025, Soda made an announcement on the OnlyFangs Discord server stating that he made the decision to kick Jason. Chance stated that he felt the majority of the players in the guild felt uncomfortable playing with him or just being around him.

“@everyone yes I made the decision to gkick pirate. I felt a large majority of people in the guild felt uncomfortable playing or being around him and all that drama that surrounded him at this point.”

Chance stated that even though some people in the guild did not share the feeling of being uncomfortable around PirateSoftware, a lot in the guild did. He also mentioned that he had seen some clips of Jason still defending his actions and “quadrupling” down on his stance. Even though Sodapoppin felt bad, he decided to make the decision. He urged the guild members to forget the incident and move on. In his Discord message, Chance stated:

“Even though some people may have not felt that way. A lot did. And after seeing some clips today from him quadrupling down ???? Or idk what number we’re on at this point. I think I’m making the right decision but still, I feel bad. Try to just let this whole thing slide into forgetfulness and move on imo.”

Chance had mentioned earlier that PirateSoftware absolutely could have saved his fellow raid members from dying. Soda stated that Pirate could have played his class in the most basic form and saved them; however, he panicked. He also called out Pirate for not taking any accountability for his actions. Fellow streamer Asmongold also shared his thoughts about the situation and defended PirateSoftware. However, Sodapoppin stated that he could not believe Asmongold’s stance.

Community Reactions to Sodapoppin’s Decision

During a livestream by a fellow streamer, Ziqoftw, the OnlyFangs guild members were present in a call. The call had over 100 participants at the time of Sodapoppin’s announcement. Ziqo then read out the statement on the call, which led to mixed reactions from the members. However, some members stated that this was the right call.

Netizens also chimed in to provide their take on the situation. While many praised Sodapoppin, some also pointed out that the situation is pointless drama. Some comments on the post of the clip stated:

“it’s fair imo. you can make the excuse that a call to run was made but at the end of the day PS did not preform in his role and proceeded to take no accountability for it & saying “everyone could have done better” is not accountability either, which is the issue to begin with,” wrote @JEUN0N.

“Good riddance. Who would want to run end game content with a public roach,” commented @_ObeyYourSystem.

“This stupid a** drama has been so entertaining I have been glued to LSF/Twitter for the last 2 days,” claimed @Symex_.
