Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, the latest entry in the iconic Yakuza series, is just a few weeks away from its official release. The spin-off title was announced earlier last year. However, pre-orders for the game went live quite recently.

Alongside the pre-orders, publisher SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio revealed a ton of additional information on the game’s pre-orders, editions, etc. Although it’s a spin-off, Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii has still managed to garner quite a lot of attention. This is primarily due to its naval gameplay, which feels very much inspired by games like Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag and Rogue.

Like any other title within the Yakuza and Like a Dragon titles, Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii is offered in two different editions. But, which of these two editions should you buy? And, is it worth spending extra on getting the more expensive Deluxe Edition? Let’s find out.

Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii’s Deluxe Editions comes with some really cool in-game cosmetics. Furthermore, the additional karaoke tracks alone make the Deluxe Edition worth considering for any diehard Yakuza fan. And for just $15 extra, it’s totally worth getting, especially if you already plan on pre-ordering the game.

That being said, if you don’t plan to pre-order and are fine with missing out on the additional tracks, the Standard Edition is a perfectly viable choice. Furthermore, SEGA usually ends up releasing the Deluxe Edition items as DLC, post-release. As such, if you want to grab those additional tracks, you can do so at a later date.
