UFC fighter Islam Makhachev called out Kick streamer Adin Ross for asking if Russia is a village during a collab stream.
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fighter Islam Makhachev appeared on the popular Full Send podcast and poked fun at Adin Ross. Islam, who is from Russia, said that the Kick streamer had no idea about his country.
The UFC fighter had previously confronted Ross in person over comments on his country. On January 11, 2025, Ross visited a training facility and asked if Russia had Wi-Fi. Islam responded to Ross and asked him to visit the country.
On January 16, 2025, Islam appeared on the Nelk Boys’ Full Send podcast and talked about his interaction with Ross. The fighter said that “it was a crazy question” and that Ross should have opened YouTube or Google to find out about it.
Why Did Islam Makhachev Confront Adin Ross?
During Adin Ross’ livestream with Islam Makhachev, he asked people at a mixed martial arts (MMA) training facility:
“Is there Wi-Fi in Russia? Like to stream?”

Islam overheard the conversation and responded:
“Everything you find in the US. They (Russia) have there.”
Adin apologized to the MMA fighter and offered to stream from the country:
“I’m sorry. I’m gonna come down to Russia with them watching. So they can know Russia is not a village. Cause that’s what I thought it was.”

During Islam’s appearance on the Full Send podcast on January 16, 2025, he brought up the incident with Nelk Boys’ Steiny. Islam said:
“It’s crazy man. Just open YouTube, or I don’t know, Google. This is crazy question making me feel bad you know. Russia have Wi-Fi? They think everybody training is like that…you know?”
Adin Is Trying To Collaborate With UFC
The Kick streamer was on an extended break, and he returned to Kick in January 2025. Ahead of his return, he told Kick CEO Eddie Craven:
“Eddie, you’ve been nothing but so right to me as a partner in this sh*t, and you’re great, bro. You believe in Brand Risk, and I know you want to see this sh*t go to the moon. I think we’ll make something so big out of this, bro. We’re going to Brand Risk on Kick, one million percent, no matter what.”

Brand Risk is Adin Ross’ boxing event that he started in 2024. He revealed that he would quit his Kick gambling streams, branch out to other types of content, and focus on his boxing events this year.
He met UFC’s Islam Makhachev and former UFC fighter Khabib Abdulmanapovich Nurmagomedov for collab streams. The Kick streamer is also connected to UFC CEO Dana White and said that he is interested in hosting Brand Risk events in partnership with UFC.
