Popular streamer Ludwig Ahgren unboxes a rare 1st Edition Pokemon card that could be worth thousands of dollars.
Popular YouTuber and streamer Ludwig Ahgren opened over $30,000 worth of Pokemon packs on his stream. During the pack opening, the streamer pulled a rare Dark Dragonite from the 1st Edition packs. The pack he opened was a First Edition Team Rocket pack. The card has not been graded yet; however, it is expected to sell for upwards of $3.5K if it is a PSA 10, according to PSAcards.com. The streamer stated:
“It’s the card! It’s the best card you can get! First-edition Dark Dragonite from Team Rocket! It’s a hit! Oh my god, it’s a hit!”
Ludwig is known for opening Pokemon packs on his YouTube channel as well as Twitch streams. He had previously pulled a Dark Dragonite Holo card, which costs upwards of $600. Ludwig has several videos on pack openings, including another $30,000 pack. He invested $20,000 in a First Edition Pokemon Fossil booster box and spent another $6,000 for grading a total of 396 cards. After the two-year grading wait, the streamer received a valuation of $18,589, resulting in a loss of $6,911.
Community Reacts to Ludwig’s Pokemon Pack Opening
Despite a rare opening, Ludwig believes that the cards made him only $3K. Ludwig supposedly reported a loss of $27K after opening the packs. Several community members reacted to his tweet and stated that he would make a lot more money from the video of the pack opening. The streamer stated in his tweet:

Some comments on the post stated:

“If they all come back PSA 10 then you only lose like 23k though so silver linings,” wrote @Radstads.
“Should’ve kept that psa 10 first ed in the pack. just the one is 10+k right? might be more valuable in the future but hey.. the stream was fun,” stated @souletuc.
“I genuinely think you got lucky making even 3k back,” wrote @Moderation3250.
