Popular Twitch streamer Tyler “Tyler1” Steinkamp quit the streamer-only WoW (World of Warcraft) guild OnlyFangs after he died in-game during a raid. The streamer got upset at his guild members and called out the OnlyFangs after quitting. Guild founder and Twitch streamer Chance “Sodapoppin” Morris expressed his disappointment with Tyler1’s behavior amidst the incident.

The OnlyFangs guild specializes in WoW Classic: Hardcore content where in-game deaths are permanent. If a character dies, it loses all progress and items from the Hardcore realm. Tyler1 started playing WoW in 2024 and made considerable progress on his character. He even beat WoW veteran Sodapoppin in a 1v1 duel to become the OnlyFangs guild leader.

Tyler1 died during a Molten Core raid and quit the guild soon after. He said that he would no longer play the game, and it has stirred drama within the WoW community. Sodapoppin condemned Steinkamp’s actions and said that he was “annoyed the f**k out.”

Sodapoppin Addresses Tyler1 and OnlyFangs Drama

After Tyler1 quit OnlyFangs, Sodapoppin reviewed the former member’s gameplay on stream. He went through Steinkamp’s raid footage and said—the former guild member made many mistakes. Sodapoppin is concerned that Steinkamp’s viewers will harass OnlyFangs members:

“I don’t like that a lot of people are going to be harassed by T1 viewers and called roaches and all this other bulls**t. It’s actually annoying the f**k out of me because it’s just wrong.”

Sodapoppin feels that Steinkamp’s “ego is hurt.” The streamer acknowledged that the former member didn’t make a bad call and got unlucky. He continued:

“He didn’t necessarily make a bad call for his perspective and his experience. It’s just a lot of stars aligned for him to learn the hard way exactly what is going to happen.”

What Happened During the Onlyfangs Classic Hardcore Raid?

Tyler1 hosted a 40-player Molten Core raid run with OnlyFangs guild members. It is one of the most difficult raids in WoW: Classic, and Steinkamp took on the role of raid leader and tank for the squad. The run was going smoothly, and the squad breezed through five bosses with ease.

When the group made it to Baron Geddon, the sixth boss in the raid, things took a turn for the worse. Multiple OnlyFangs players died during the raid.

Content creator Tonkatonk was one of the OnlyFangs members who died. He disagreed with Steinkamp’s calls and pointed out several mistakes. Tyler1 blamed his party for not following orders and quit the raid.

The streamer left other players to die in-game and quit OnlyFangs. He made a follow-up video explaining his decision and called out most of the players he played. It is unknown if the streamer will reconcile with his former guild members and return to the guild.
