Monster Hunter fans will be disheartened to know that the beloved Poogie hasn’t yet been confirmed for a Monster Hunter Wilds appearance. While the pet pig had largely been a staple in every MH title before, its exclusion from Rise left many wondering whether it will eventually return to Wilds.
We hoped we would be the bearer of this good news, but there’s been no official confirmation as of now regarding Poogie’s inclusion in MH Wilds. You can check out our Monster Hunter Wilds Character list to learn about all confirmed NPCs.
Who Is Poogie in Monster Hunter?

Poogie is a pink pet pig that has been a part of every Monster Hunter in the series except for Monster Hunter Rise. Given its cute design and prominence in the franchise, it is recognized as one of its mascots (as Poogie rightly should be). For those who are still playing Monster Hunter World, the beloved pig can be found in Astera on the base floor, usually near the gate. You can interact with it, pet it, give it a name, carry it, and customize the clothes it is wearing.
Hunters also feel Poogie is a special charm for them. Veterans will tell you petting it can result in better carves from the hunt (and the Monster Hunter Wilds monster list is set to be long). Now, there might not be solid numbers to back this up, but that doesn’t stop us from snuggling with something so cute.
We can only hope that the creative minds at Capcom have decided this time around to bring Poogie to the Forbidden Lands. MH Wilds hunters will surely benefit from its positive vibe and (surely not superstitious) effects.
