Event Bonuses: More XP and Extra Gifts!
During the event, you can grab some great perks:
- 2× XP every time you spin a PokeStop.
- 5× XP the first time you spin a new PokeStop.
- Open up to 40 Gifts per day.
- Upgrade to 60 Gifts per day if you have the Eggs-pedition Access: February ticket.
- Shiny Pidgey appears more often!

Shiny Debuts

Field Research: Extra Rewards
Event-exclusive Field Research tasks will be available throughout the event. Completing them can earn you:

Paid Timed Research: Worth It?
For $5.00 (or local equivalent), you can unlock a special Timed Research questline. If you’re someone who enjoys extra challenges, here’s what you’ll get:

Lucky Pokemon: Trading Just Got Better!
Great news for traders! The limit on guaranteed Lucky Pokemon from trades is increasing from 25 to 35.
Even better, starting February 18, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., any Pokemon stored in your collection since 2019 is guaranteed to become Lucky when traded—until the new limit is reached. This update stays permanently, so make sure to trade wisely!
PokeStop Showcases: Enter for a Chance to Win
During the event, some PokeStops will host Showcases where you can enter event-themed Pokemon. These competitions let you show off your best catches and possibly win some extra prizes.
