Gore Magala is arguably one of the most challenging monsters in base Monster Hunter Wilds, only seconded by Tempered Arkveld. While fighting Gore Magala is a challenge in itself, farming it for its drops is an even more daunting task. Unlike in previous Monster Hunter games, there’s a very small chance for Large Monsters to drop rare materials if you capture them. In Monster Hunter World, you can farm even the Mantles and Palliums by capturing monsters. However, in Monster Hunter Wilds, you need to break specific parts of a monster to get the rare material drops. This is particularly true for Gore Magala and the rare drop, Gore Magala Feelers+.

Here’s a comprehensive guide on how to easily obtain the Gore Magala Feelers+ in Monster Hunter Wilds.

How To Get Gore Magala Feelers+ in MH Wilds

Gore Magala Feelers+ are obtained from breaking Gore Magala’s antennae. However, doing so is easier said than done, even with Partbreaker. In its regular state, Gore Magala doesn’t have its antennae (Feelers) activated. And regardless of how much damage you deal to its head, you won’t be able to get the Gore Magala Feelers+. The Feelers+ have a 7% drop chance from regular carving, which makes it one of the rarest Gore Magala drops, only seconded by the Gore Magala Nyctgem (3% drop chance). However, if you can break its antennae, there’s a 100% chance for the Feelers+ to drop as a reward. The only way to get the Feelers is in the monster’s enraged state.

When Gore Magala is enraged, it’s only then that its Feelers (antennae) come out. You can locate the antennae quite easily as they glow in a bright purple color on top of the monster’s head. The antennae usually break if you manage to break the monster’s head while it’s in its enraged state. However, dealing damage to Gore Magala’s head while it’s enraged isn’t easy. The best method is to trap the monster using Shock or Pitfall Traps and then hit its head with the most powerful combos in your arsenal.

Best Method To Farm Gore Magala Feelers+

For breaking the antennae, you will want to use something with higher single-hit DPS. Weapons like the Great Sword, Hammer, Long Sword, and Charge Blade are the best picks for this job. Furthermore, the best skills that you should equip to make breaking the antennae easier are Partbreaker, Weakness Exploit, Foray, and Critical Element. It’s also paramount to use a weapon with Dragon Elemental properties to deal bonus damage to Gore Magala’s head. Here are some of the best weapons to use for farming Gore Magala Feelers+:

  • Stalwart Lamorak
  • G. Stalwart Lamorak
  • Varianza (Dragon Element, Critical Boost)
  • Schattenstolz

Make sure to have the Plunderblade skill for the Palico unlocked. Plunderblade lets the Palico gather additional materials from a monster. Furthermore, if your build allows, it’s best to slot in a few Sane Decorations to counteract Gore Magala’s Frenzy Virus.
