xQc faced criticism after his stream with Will Smith, with many comparing him to Kai Cenat. The streamer later responded to the backlash.

Felix “xQc” received backlash after streaming with Will Smith, leading to comparisons with Kai Cenat. Kai is known for his collaboration streams with popular music artists and celebrities. Felix, however, hosted his first collaboration stream with a popular celebrity on Twitch. A member of Ludwig’s editorial team commented that watching xQc collaborate with celebrities was “hard to watch.” In response, Felix dismissed the criticism, claiming the user was simply “farming interactions.” He also stated that he was among the first to introduce celebrity collaborations on Twitch:
“True, true. Farm it, brother. Farm it, farm it. Hey chat, the celebrity bit I did before, it was cool. Hey, don’t act like I’m new to this bit. I’ve been doing that before some of these guys even made their Twitch channel.”
X has over 12M followers on Twitch and has been streaming for over 10 years since his Overwatch League days. xQc referenced his popular Wiz Khalifa stream, where the streamer played with Wiz during a charity stream. Felix claimed that he had collaborated with celebrities before some streamers started their Twitch journey. X also played Among Us with AOC during a collaboration stream. The streamer also appeared alongside Donald Trump during his stream with Adin Ross. In a recent Kick stream, xQc also streamed with Drake.

“Crazy that two people can’t hang out with each other anymore for fun,” wrote @AlexManCool_.
“Anyone can do anything. It aint exclusive to one streamer. You can jump on trends,” stated @ENiGMAistaken.
“Hasn’t he always had celebrities on once in a while?” commented @BrofessorOak_.
“It’s not copying. Its opportunity. This new generation of content creators opened a pathway for creators to do stuff like this. Kai didn’t copyright celebrities so stop being weird,” remarked @NuggetGx_.
“lil bro, he started doing streams with celebrities before kai even made his channel, calling it the “kai cenat” thing is crazy” said @AForturk88941.
