Will you be able to run Mecha BREAK on Steam Deck? Find out whether the upcoming multiplayer mech title will support the handheld console
Mecha BREAK will run on the Steam Deck console. However, Amazing Seasun Games, the developer behind Mecha BREAK, has revealed that the latest Beta version won’t be optimized for the portable console. Still, this hasn’t stopped some players to try and run the Mecha BREAK on Steam Deck.
Playing Mecha BREAK on Steam Deck
According to players who have tested the performance of the game on Steam’s console, the handheld platform can run the free-to-play multiplayer game decently. However, you will need to dial down some of the graphic options and use upscaling to ensure the title runs smoothly with minimal or no stuttering.
Currently, the settings menu of the game does not have any other graphic settings that you can tamper with besides upscaling. So you can only use the different presets for FSR or turn off upscaling completely.
In many of these tests, the game maintained around 30 fps when using FSR Quality upscaling settings. However, the framerates jumped past the 50fps mark when the settings were turned down to FSR Performance.
The developer might expand on the available graphic settings when the full game is released. Also, with more optimization in place, you may expect the performance to improve on your Steam Deck for the final version of Mecha BREAK.
Mecha BREAK PC System Requirements
If you don’t plan on playing Mecha BREAK on Steam Deck, here are the PC requirements for the game. Check out whether your system can handle the multiplayer title.

- Operating System: Windows 10 or Windows 11
- Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D or Intel Core i7-10700K
- RAM: 16 GB
- Graphics: Radeon RX 5700XT or NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060
The open Beta for the game is also live on the Xbox Series X|S. The full game is slated for release sometime in 2025, although Amazing Seasun Games hasn’t revealed the exact date yet.
