The Auric Rod is one of the most valuable fishing rods in Fisch. It doesn’t just catch fish; it multiplies their value. Every time you reel in a fish, the rod randomly applies a Mutation multiplier. These Mutations can double, triple, or even multiply fish prices by six. That means more cash with every catch.
Getting this rod isn’t easy. It’s a rare drop from Sunken Treasure Chests, which appear once every hour in the game. When the chests spawn, you have just ten minutes to find them. If you’re lucky, you might pull out an Auric Rod.
How To Get the Auric Rod in Fisch
The Auric Rod is a rare fishing rod in Fisch that increases the value of caught fish. It applies random Mutations that boost fish prices by 2x to 6x when sold. However, getting this rod requires time, patience, and luck. It is only available from Sunken Treasure Chests, which appear at set intervals.
Step 1: Wait for the Sunken Treasure Event
Sunken Treasure Chests spawn every hour in the game. When a chest appears, the game sends a notification at the top of the screen. This message gives you a general location, so pay attention. The event lasts ten minutes, and after that, the chest disappears.
Step 2: Travel to the Location Quickly
Once the event triggers, use a boat to get there as fast as possible. The Loot Rider Boat is the fastest free boat, but any boat will work. If you delay, other players might open the chests first.
Step 3: Open the Sunken Treasure Chests
Upon arrival, look for 3 to 5 Golden Loot Chests resting on a sunken shipwreck. Walk up to a chest and press ‘E’ (or tap on mobile) to open it. There are two types of Sunken Chests:
- Normal Chests – 0.25% chance of dropping the Auric Rod
- Mythical Chests – 2.5% chance of dropping the Auric Rod
The Mythical Chest has better loot, so prioritize those when possible.
Step 4: Keep Farming for a Better Chance
The drop rate is low, so expect to open many chests before getting the Auric Rod. Farming multiple Sunken Treasure events increases your chances. Since the event happens every hour, you can repeat the process as often as needed.
What Makes the Auric Rod Special?
The Auric Rod doesn’t have high base stats, but its Mutation system makes it one of the best tools for making money. Every fish caught with the rod gets a random value multiplier:
- Auous Mutation (2x value)
- Aurelian Mutation (3x value)
- Aureate Mutation (4x value)
- Aurulent Mutation (5x value)
- Aureolin Mutation (6x value)
This means that every catch has a chance to sell for six times its normal price.

- Quality – Increases Lure Speed (+15%), Luck (+15%), and Resilience (+5%)
- Immortal – Reduces wear on the rod, allowing for longer use
If you want faster reeling, use the Hasty enchantment and pair it with Rapid Catcher bait. This reduces shake time, making catches much quicker.
