  • New Pokemon Species
  • New Pokemon Movie

1. Pokemon Legends Z-A Announcements

All we know about this game is that it is under development at Game Freak studio and will be published by Nintendo and The Pokemon Company. Apart from that, there is not much information present surrounding Pokemon Legends: Z-A. Rumor in the community suggests that the company could be planning to release the game in 2025. However, that could easily be wrong, or the plans might change based on the development process. So, it would be great if one of the announcements at Pokemon Presents 2025 is regarding the upcoming game. The Pokemon Company can reveal the expected release date and/or another video teaser featuring gameplay.

2. New Pokemon Species

Every year, on average, we discover around 18,000 new species in the real world. We are not saying the creators should give us a similar experience. That would be too hard to keep up with. However, we may be speaking for a lot of fans when we say that we deserve a new Pokemon species. It’s about time that the creators drop a new adorable or intimidating Pokemon for us to be enthusiastic about. And the 29th Pokemon anniversary would be the perfect time to reveal a new species.

3. New Pokemon Movie

Whether or not they go for a grim setting, Pokemon movies are arguably wholesome. They almost always have a heartwarming message to share. The last movie released by The Pokemon Company was in 2021, called Pokemon the Movie: Secrets of the Jungle. It was initially delayed due to the global Covid-19 pandemic and eventually released in the US, a year after the Japanese release. Now that it’s been four years since the last movie’s release, an announcement for a new one would be great to keep the fans hyped.

4. Project Synapse

Not much is known about Project Synapse due to a massive data breach at The Pokemon Company. A lot of information got out, including the said project. The primary developer on deck appeared to be DeNA, and the game was rumored to be a multiplayer experience. Since then, this name has come and gone along with other leaks. Nobody knows where the road will lead us, but if it truly is a multiplayer game, we hope the company reveals it during Pokemon Presents 2025.

5. Classic Pokemon Collection

The classic Pokemon games were re-released on the virtual console before the Nintendo 3DS went out of fashion. Since these classic “vintage” games were nostalgic, they were fun to play later on. If they re-release them once again via digital format for the Nintendo Switch, it could make a lot of fans happy. Nintendo could go one step further and even remake the classic versions if their plan and budget allow. So, let’s hope all our favorite older generation Nintendo Pokemon games get ported to the Switch, and eventually to Switch 2.
