In Avowed, v Grimoire is a unique off-hand spellbook that can grant you access to four unique spells without having to unlock them individually in the Wizard skill tree. However, you will have to spend points to rank up your Grimoire Mastery at least four times in order to be able to use all four.
The two most powerful spells available with this grimoire are Freezing Pilla and Meteor Shower. Both are fantastic area-of-effect abilities, with one dealing Frost Accumulation and the other with Fire Accumulation. Frost accumulation in Avowed will slow enemies and then freeze them solid when it reaches max. Max fire accumulation will Ignite your enemy and they will take a damage-over-time burning effect.

How to Get Eilara’s Grimoire in Avowed?
To get Eilara’s Grimoire in Avowed you must progress the story until you reach the fourth region of Galawain’s Tusks and then travel all of the way to the northern point of the map to discover The Living Archives.
Galawain’s Tusks is a large region, and getting all of the way north past the Primordial Depths will take quite a bit of walking. When you arrive at The Living Archives, the dwarves will have abandoned it because of dreamwalkers. Speak to the head archivist and pick up the side quest looking for his book. Head into the Archives and fight your way to the top. You’ll know you have reached it when you step onto an outside area with benches lined up before an alter.
First, you’ll have to take out several powerful dreamwalker enemies here. They are powerful end-game enemies and could give you trouble. Afterward, find the chest to the right-hand side of the altar, and you can loot Eilara’s Grimoire from it.
How to Use Eilara’s Grimoire in Avowed?
Eilara’s Grimoire is a great magic weapon for an end-game Wizard or other spellcasting playstyle in Avowed. Once you have invested the skill points into Grimoire Mastery you will be able to cast powerful spells such as Freezing Pillar and Meteor Shower. Both of these do fantastic area-of-effect damage. Moreover, both frost and fire can inflict your enemies with different debuffs. Frost is great for crowd control and Fire is good for a passive damage boost.

Although you can normally upgrade the primary enchantment on weapons in Avowed, grimoires are different because they offer access to spells. Because of this, Eilara’s Grimoire does not have any enchantments to upgrade, so you will not need to worry about or spend any crafting materials on this.
