To get the Cartographer’s Companion in Avowed you must play through the game until you reach the fourth region of Galawain’s Tusks. This large region is divided into two main areas, with a northern portion and a southern portion.
You will need to locate Urvalnau’s Den, which is on the north side of the southern region. Back behind the Shrine of Galawin is a large, open cave space where the large bear Urvalnau resides. Urvalnau is a bounty target and you will need to defeat it and all of the skeleton minions nearby before you can claim the amulet.
After you have defeated the bear, look around the dark areas at the back of the cave to find the corpse of a Dwarf. Loot the body to claim the Cartographer’s Companion.
How to Use Cartographer’s Companion in Avowed?
The best way to use the Cartographer’s Companion in Avowed is by equipping it to a Wizard or Ranger build. Rangers will get the most out of the boosts to their Dexterity and Perception. However, these same bonuses will also help Wizards and spellcasters. It will increase your range of attack and the speed at which you move.

You cannot enchant the Cartographer’s Companion amulet or increase the passive bonuses any further. The enchantment station can only be used on the primary enchantments found on weapons in Avowed.
