DrLupo is one of the many online personalities that have a distinctive alias. Given that the name begins with “Dr.,” some people may question whether he is a real medical professional. However, the answer is “no”.
The popular content creator and streamer DrLupo, whose real name is Benjamin Lupo, is well-known for his gameplay in games like Escape from Tarkov and Fortnite. He supports charitable donations and has hosted multiple charity streams over his time as a streamer.
Beginning as a Destiny streamer, Benjamin gradually grew his fan base till 2014. He entered the battle royale scene with H1Z1, then PUBG, and then Fortnite when it debuted in 2017. DrLupo is most recognized for being a part of the streamer collective that also includes Timthetatman and Ninja.
With 49,256,200 points, Benjamin is the current Fortnite ATV Trick Point World Record holder. DrLupo set out to raise $1 million for children with cancer at St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital in 2018.
In order to raise the remaining funds required to meet his annual target of $1 million, Benjamin conducted a 24-hour stream. He exceeded his target by raising over $612,000, bringing the year’s total to over $1.3 million. DrLupo is also a part of GuardianCon, a charity-raising event for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital that brings together streamers affiliated with Destiny.
Dr Disrespect Accused DrLupo for Copying His Streams and Called Out Nickmercs
In a recent rant while streaming live, Rumble streamer Herschel “Dr DisRespect” Beahm IV criticized two of his streaming peers. His prior controversy, including alleged infidelity and illicit conversations with a minor, which ultimately led to his permanent Twitch ban in 2020, appear to have been the reason behind it.
Dr Disrespect called out DrLupo and Nickmercs, who had a cordial relationship with him before the scandals. He stated:
“I think Nickmercs is the biggest f**kin’ p**sy in the world. Lupo, obviously he’s a big a*s… he’s a fake.”
Dr DisRespect claimed that DrLupo, a 37-year-old streamer, cut off contact and distanced himself from what was going on. He also accused him of “copying” his streaming format in the past. He said:
“He’s got 400 viewers now no one gives a… like he’s always copied us, transitions, intros, all that stuff. He’s always… I just… I’m just going to release some stuff off my mind. Lupo, fake phony rat, I can’t relate to these people.”
