Here’s where you can find The Black Flame in the Oilwell Basin region of Monster Hunter Wilds during the main story of the game.
In chapter 3 of Monster Hunter Wilds, you will eventually come to the Azus Village in the Oilwell Basin locale. As you progress through the story, you will meet the Apex Predator of the region, called The Black Flame. However, you will need to find this monster first, and Monster Hunter Wilds will not give you a path or a marker to this monster. As such, you will need to manually find and defeat it to progress through the story.
Finding The Black Flame is easy, especially if you have a specific Pop-up Camp unlocked. In this article, we will explain how you can find The Black Flame in the Oilwell Basin region of Monster Hunter Wilds. The Black Flame is actually called Nu Udra, and you will come to know about this name shortly after completing this mission.
Where To Find The Black Flame in Monster Hunter Wilds
You will find The Black Flame in region 15 of the Oilwell Basin in Monster Hunter Wilds. This region is hot and has lava flowing in all directions. Here is how you can reach it easily:
- Fast travel to the Middle Strata Pop-up Camp in Area 9 of the Oilwell Basin.
- Take the alley that goes down on the right side from when you face away from the camp.
- In the first open area, take a right turn again and you should see The Black Flame in the molten lava field.
Since this area is hot, it is suggested you use a Chillmantle Bug from the surroundings or consume a Cool Drink to lower your temperature. This will also save you from the effects of heat during this fight, making the process easier for you overall.
