In this guide, we shall go over how to get Lightcrystal in Monster Hunter Wilds, a Rarity 5 resource in the game.

Monster Hunter Wilds is just as much about hunting monsters as it is about collecting resources and crafting materials. You have to explore the world and hoard resources to craft powerful weapons. These weapons are then your tools for battle when hunting the monsters. Different weapons require different materials, and the Lightcrystal seems to be one material hard to find.
Almost taunting you with Rarity 5, the Lighcrystal resource is moderately difficult to obtain. This resource, much like other crafting resources, resides within the Mining Outcrops scattered across the map and helps craft several weapons, armor, and upgrades.
“Lightcrystal is a precious and extremely hard substance with a faint glow. Sometimes used for crafting tools,” the Lightcrystal item description reads. If you’re looking for this item but are yet to find it, we’re here to help you with this guide. In this guide, we shall go over how to get Lightcrystal in Monster Hunter Wilds.

Where To Find Lightcrystal in Monster Hunter Wilds?
As stated earlier, Lightcrystals reside within the various Mining Outcrops scattered across Monster Hunter Wilds’ massive map. These outcrops are fairly easy to find, marked by a navy blue icon on your map. From our experience, we’ve found that the mining outcrops in the Oilwell Basin (4,6, 7, 13,16, and 17), Iceshard Cliffs (8 and 16), and the Windward Plains (1,2,3, 7, 9, and 17) have a chance of dropping light crystals.

Follow the steps below to find Lightcrystal:
- Open your map and locate the blue Mining Outcrop icons in any of the aforementioned regions. Once you’ve found the icon, mark it on your map and let Seikret take you up to the marked location.
- Head to the location and dismount when you reach your destination. Approach the glowing Mining Outcrop and pull out your pickaxe.
- Use the pickaxe to mine the Lightcrystal from the Mining Outcrop. If you’re playing using a keyboard and mouse, press F to mine. If playing on a console, you can press Circle on PlayStation 5 or B on Xbox Series S or Xbox Series X to the same effect.

If you’re mining for Lightcrystals in the Iceshard Cliff, the Mining Outcrops in this region also hold a chance to drop Icium. If you get Icium instead of Lightcrystals, simply wait for the outcrop to respawn based on its timer on the screen.
