Drifting Sea Pot and Flowing Sea Squirt are special items in Monster Hunter Wilds. This article details how to acquire and use them.
Monster Hunter Wilds allows you to collect a set of specific items dubbed special items. While you cannot use these to directly upgrade weapons or armor, collecting them can still be beneficial for different reasons. Two such special items are the Drifting Sea Pot and the Flowing Sea Squirt in Monster Hunter Wilds.
This guide will look at ways in which you can get your hands on these items, and explain how to use them in-game.
Where To Find Drifting Sea Pot and Flowing Sea Squirt in Monster Hunter Wilds?
Before setting out to find both special items in the game, you should know what these are. The items description reflects that they are translucent sea squirts that are most commonly found in the east. Salt drying turns them into well-preserved foods. You will find both items underwater in the Windward Plains region of the game. So keep an eye out for these when you’re heading to the Windward Plains area.

How To Use Drifting Sea Pot and Flowing Sea Squirt in Monster Hunter Wilds
Like all other special items in the game, acquiring the Drifting Sea Pot and the Flowing Sea Squirt will add to your Guild Points. For the unaware, Guild Points are a form of in-game currency that you can earn through various activities. You can then spend the accumulated points to set up pop-up camps, buy items from Santiago on the ship, complete High Rank investigations, and more.
Apart from adding Guild Points, you can also trade some of the special items you collect with specific NPC traders in the game. The Drifting Sea Pot is one such item that you can offer up for trade to receive other valuable goods in return.
To trade this item, go to Aida in the Oilwell Basin. She can be found at Azuz the Everforge. You will get the following items from her in exchange for the Drifting Sea Pots:
- 2x Drifting Sea Pot: You will receive 6x Flashbug Phosphor
- 2x Drifting Sea Pot: You will receive 4x Mud Shrimp
You can use the Flashbug Phosphor you acquire to craft Flash Pods. On the other hand, Mud Shrimp is a critical cooking ingredient that you can use to create various recipes. Both items can have a significant impact in your fights with different monsters in the game, making the Drifting Sea Pot a valuable special item indeed.
