Roblox Fisch just got even more exciting with its Ancient Isles update, which brings us some new fishing rods to try out. The Voyager Rod is one of the most interesting ones, as it can shoot laser beams at fish and turn them into fossils. You’ll need to be at least level 400 to get your hands on this rod, but don’t worry, we’ll show you exactly how to get it.

If you’re wondering whether this rod is worth your time and resources, we’ve got all the details for you in this guide. Let’s take a look at where to find it, what you need to craft it, and what makes it special.

Where To Find the Voyager Rod?

You can craft the Voyager Rod at the Ancient Archives, which you’ll find in the Ancient Isles area. Getting there isn’t super easy, so you’ll need to dodge some obstacles in the ocean first. When you reach the island, look for a waterfall on the west side. Use your glider to fly into the cave, and you’ll see a rope that leads to the Ancient Archives.

What You Need To Make the Voyager Rod

Here’s everything you need to craft the Voyager Rod:

  • 3 Opals: You can get these from the Meteor Crash site in Ancient Isles. For a shortcut, use a Meteor Totem from Roslit Volcano to make meteors appear
  • 3 Void Wood: Your best bet is fishing at the Keeper’s Altar
  • 1 Magic Thread: You can get this while fishing or from Treasure Chests
  • 30,000 cash: Make sure you have enough money saved up

What Makes the Voyager Rod Special

Once you craft the rod, here’s what you get:

  • Lure Speed goes up by 15%
  • Luck increases by 20%
  • Control takes a small hit at -0.02
  • Resilience stays at 0%
  • You can catch fish up to 2800 kg

There’s also a 25% chance your catches will turn into fossil fish. Plus, you get to see a pretty cool laser beam show up when you’re reeling in fish, which actually helps you catch them faster.

Tips for Using Your New Rod

Since this rod doesn’t have any Resilience and has negative Control, you might want to add some enchantments to make it better. Try using Resilient or Controlled enchantments to balance things out. Just keep in mind that there are other rods around this price that might work better for regular fishing.

Should You Get the Voyager Rod?

The Voyager Rod is definitely intriguing with its laser beams and fossil fish, but it’s not perfect. Think about the high cost and materials you need, plus the downsides like low Control and no Resilience. If you’re after something fun and different, go for it! But if you want the best rod for everyday fishing, you might want to look at other options.
