Where To Find Chaliceweed in Monster Hunter Wilds?

Chaliceweed is an item that you mostly find through fishing or by diving underwater. Let’s take a look at both of these methods.

Underwater Diving for Glass Algae

You need to find Glass Algae that grow underwater in regions such as Scarlet Forest Areas 2 and 13. When interacting with the Glass Algae, you’ll mostly come across the more common material, Gobletweed. However, finding more Glass Algae and harvesting them repeatedly is a great way to acquire some Chaliceweed.

You can also improve your chances of finding the resource by wearing gear with the Geologist Level 2 equipment skill. You can also equip charms with the Geologist skill to further increase the chances of the rare item dropping. Another tactic involves joining an Optional Quest after you’ve harvested all of the Glass Algae in a region. Doing so will reset all the algae, allowing you to harvest them again. This can also accelerate the process of acquiring the item.

Fishing for Gastronome Tuna

You can try to acquire Chaliceweed by catching Gastronome Tuna. Although the likelihood is low, this particular fish can sometimes provide you with the rare item. If you want to go down this route, start by looking for the specific fish in Scarlet Forest Area 17. The fish will be easier to catch if you own the Tuff Joint Bait. You will unlock this particular bait after you complete a specific side quest in the same region. Also, before fishing, make sure you set the environment to Plenty.

Keep in mind that this process will be slower compared to diving for Glass Algae. So, you may need to spend considerable time catching multiple Gastronome Tuna in the process.
