The mission starts with a cutscene where Mio and Zoe sit on a ship’s edge. Mio will tell Zoe that this game is inspired by the video games she used to play. Then, she challenges Zoe to a race. The rules are simple: obtain a higher score to win.

As stated above, the mission features a simple goal of scoring maximum points till the finish line to surpass your partner’s score. The scoring pattern is similar to real-life snowboarding. You earn points by performing various tricks, with the points based on their difficulty level. Additionally, performing a combo of tricks will increase your score multiplier, resulting in even higher points.

The tricks are divided into three categories based on their difficulty level:

  • Basic: These are the easiest tricks, earning the least points. Example: Drillbazzer

  • Super: These tricks are preferred by players, as they offer a good balance of difficulty and reward. Example: Floor Sixin

  • Extreme: These are very complex tricks, and performing them requires precision. However, they offer the highest points. Example: Habshaiki

The snowboarding map features long metal pipes, and sliding over them will earn you points. The longer you perform the neon slide, the higher your score. Use your hook on several grapple points to perform extreme tricks. You have unlimited lives. However, each respawn will cost you 1000 points.

In addition to the fun, there are several challenges and obstacles to overcome, including debris, pipes, tanks, blasts, and more. Once you reach the finish line, a cutscene will trigger to celebrate the victory. This will conclude the Slopes of War side mission in Split Fiction.
