Pokemon Sleep is a sleep tracker disguised as a Pokemon game, making it different from any other Pokemon game in the market.

The Pokemon games have always been about catching the best Pokemon and getting into battles with your team. This has been a tried-and-tested formula that the series has used since its inception, and things have never really changed drastically for the series over the last two decades. That is, until Pokemon Sleep came about.
Pokemon Sleep is unlike any other Pokemon game on the market at the moment. Much like its name hints, Pokemon Sleepis pretty much a sleep tracker disguised as a Pokemon game. This game tracks the number of hours you sleep, rewarding you with different Pokemon for crossing milestones. The game is really different from other titles in the franchise, all of which we shall discuss in this article below. In this article, we shall go over Pokemon Sleep and discuss how it is different from other Pokemon games in the franchise.

What Makes Pokemon Sleep Different

As stated earlier, Pokemon Sleep is a health tracker disguising itself as a Pokemon game that makes you research different nap styles of Pokemon by resting yourself and tracking it. You move from island to island with a team of helper Pokemon by your side, who help you gather resources and make three meals a day. On each of these islands, you meet Snorlax, who sleeps at the same time you do. Whenever you sleep, the helper Pokemon recover strength, which makes it easier for them to prepare meals and get Snorlax stronger.
As you rest, the game tracks your napping style and assigns you a specific Pokemon based on that style. These Pokemon then appear near Snorlax, and you can take them to your team using biscuits. Each Pokemon you recruit comes with its own set of skills, all of which help strengthen Snorlax in different ways. If you haven’t figured it out yet, Snorlax’s strength is a metaphor for your own health. The better you sleep, the more helpers you will have, and the stronger Snorlax will become, highlighting your improved sleep cycle.
While other Pokemon games force you to venture out to search for Pokemon, this one forces you to take a step back and rest. The better you sleep, the better you’ll perform in-game. This emphasis on health and a pacific approach to collecting Pokemon makes Pokemon Sleep a game unlike any other.
